These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pact mobile application ("Pact," "the App," "we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using Pact, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Pact. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide during signup is accurate.
Pact is a space for accountability between real people. By using the App, you agree that you will not:
We reserve the right to remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.
Pact provides in-app tools to help keep the community safe:
We review reports and take action, including content removal or account suspension/termination, as we determine appropriate.
You retain ownership of the content you post (photos, messages, pact details). By posting content on Pact, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the App's features — for example, showing your check-in photo to the accountability group you shared it with.
You are solely responsible for the content you post and confirm that you have the right to share it.
You agree to use Pact only as intended: to make and track personal commitments, engage with accountability partners, and communicate within groups you've joined. You may not use the App to scrape data, build competing products from our data, or engage in any automated or bulk use not intended for individual users.
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your account and associated data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Pact is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times. Pact is a tool to support personal accountability; we are not responsible for the outcomes of any commitments you make or the conduct of other users.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pact and its founders/operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of goodwill, or damages resulting from the conduct of other users.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, to the extent such limitation is not permitted under UK law.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Pact at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that harms other users or the App. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will indicate the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Pact will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to: yassin@pactapp.co.uk or ali@pactapp.co.uk
